Who we are
Inspirational Mix (inspirationalmix.co.uk) is a small independent business based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, United Kingdom. We are the “controller” of the personal information described on this page. For any privacy question or request, email orders@inspirationalmix.co.uk.
What information we collect
- When you place an order: your name, email address, billing address, delivery address (for printed items), and details of what you bought. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card number.
- When you contact us: your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
- When you browse the site: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymous information about how you use the site, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location (town or country level).
How we use it, and our legal basis

We don’t sell your information, and we won’t send you marketing emails unless you’ve asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share what’s needed with trusted services that help us run the shop:
- Snipcart, our shopping cart and checkout, which also emails your digital downloads.
- Our payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal), which process your payment securely.
- Royal Mail, which receives your name and delivery address to deliver printed items.
- Netlify, which hosts this website.
- Google Analytics, but only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our email provider, when you contact us.
Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, for example in the USA or EU. Where this happens, they use appropriate legal safeguards such as UK-approved contract clauses or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 6 years, as required for UK tax purposes. General emails are kept for up to 2 years unless they relate to an order. Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong;
- ask us to delete your information (unless we must keep it, for example for tax records);
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- ask to receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, for example for analytics cookies.
To make a request, email orders@inspirationalmix.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, but we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies and storage: these keep your basket working and run the secure checkout (Snipcart), and remember your cookie choice. They don’t need consent, as the shop can’t work without them.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): these help us see which pages are popular so we can improve the site. They’re off by default and only switch on if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner.
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Our shop is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
